Stepper motor power unit

The PSD 309-x is a compact stepper motor power unit for bipolar operation of up to three 2-phase stepper motors. The control of the power unit is effected via a digital clock/direction signal input. The assignment of the corresponding connector is compatible with the parallel interface of a control computer and thus facilitates direct connection of the power unit. It is also possible to adapt the controller to customer-specific control systems or PLCs, whereby, if necessary, the following options are available must be adjusted to the level. As control software for Window2000 and Windows XP, we optionally deliver the real-time CNC operating system EdiTasc. The program supports linear and circular interpolation of the connected stepper motors as well as constant-speed path control. ThePSD 309-x has bipolar power amplifiers and allows a codable step resolution of 200,400,800 or 1600 steps/revolution. The PSD 309-S integrates appropriate safety relays to integrate the control system into higher-level machine safety concepts. A 150VA clocked power supply with wide range input allows worldwide use of the power unit without additional modifications.
